Cat. #00104014132: CLAUDETTE COLBERT

Charming, uncommonly early 7.25 x 9-inch glossy publicity portrait for Midnight (1939), inscribed in purple fountain pen in-person for a movie studio employee at the time of the film's release. In good condition, with the borders trimmed away for framing purposes and a studio snipe printed on the reverse side. Elegant leading lady Claudette Colbert won an Oscar for her performance, opposite Clark Gable, in It Happened One Night (1934), and was also memorable in Imitation of Life (1934), Cleopatra (1934), Private Worlds (1935), Drums Along the Mohawk (1939), The Palm Beach Story (1942), and Since You Went Away (1944).
